#115: The Anatomy of an Evidence Set (and what to call them)

What should I call the Evidence Sets in my Teacher Portfolio?

You know that you need to create multiple evidence set for your portfolio.  It’s often the same regardless of whether you’re working at uni, for proficiency, highly accomplished or lead.  There’s a requirement to place your evidence into neat packages with very specific elements.

Often, we start by thinking about what could be good as an evidence set.

Most educators begin by making a list of projects, learning moments, working parties and training they’ve run.  They look for themes and ideas to build their stories around.  Especially when looking backwards and reaching into the last 5 years for inspiration.

This often leads tot he question “what should I call my evidence sets”

Why is the title of your evidence set so important?

Honestly, most of the time, this question is being asked right at the start. Before you’ve even had a chance to build your evidence set, see what the main theme is and make sure that you’re even going to include it.

In this episode  I explore the anatomy of an evidence set. Why?

Because, following these guidelines about WHAT should be in your evidence set, wil give you the answer to what you should NAME your evidence set!

The truth is, like any good piece of writing, the chances are you won’t know what your evidence set is called until you’ve finished writing it. So, let’s make sure you have a great chance of writing it… right in the first place!
