As we continue to explore the power of reflective practice, we can not ignore the importance of getting valuable feedback.
As we discussed in episode 156, without feedback, we can easily lose perspective. Without perspective, we start to make assumptions about our practice that only feedback can correct. It’s super important.
We know this because we give our students clear feedback all the time. Feedback is vital to help our students understand their strengths and build their skills.
You, my friend, deserve the same opportunity
The only problem is that feedback, in the form of lesson observations, learning walks and conversations with the boss, can be super scary!
What does the research say about effective feedback strategies in schools?
Once again I started to explore what the research had to say about effective feedback strategies among teachers. Strategies that will provide that insight and perspective without making you feel like you’re being assessed, judged, or put under pressure.
In this episode, I’m sharing three strategies that you could implement right now. Strategies that all involved ongoing reflection, collaboration, and sharing and a clear and well-defined structure.
