Kat is a devoted, enthusiastic and passionate educator who is having an incredibly positive impact on the students she is working with at Modbury Special School.  She is a deeply reflective practitioner with a strong focus on herself as a learner.  Her dedication to developing and improving her practice is truly inspiring.  Her regular reflective writing demonstrates how deeply she has connected with her students, how skilled she is as an educator and how much power there is in being a learner herself.  She recently applied for and achieved her full registration and is now, less than 6 months later, working towards Highly Accomplished.  She is is busy sharing everything she is learning and developing with whoever will listen and is making some fantastic connections and getting some great feedback.  She’s even mentoring other teachers in her spare time.  She’s a dedicated, compassionate, intuitive, and inspiring young educator who is making an amazing difference to young people.
